A solar oven operates on solar energy. By exposing the oven to sunlight and ensuring a maximal absorption it is possible to cook meat, fish, vegetables and steam rice. The time it takes depends on the amount of sunlight. The top of the oven is made from glass or clear plastic and the inside of the oven is black, as dark colours absorb the most warmth. Place the ingredients in the oven and leave the rest to the sun.
You can hire GPS equipment at St Walrick. By using GPS coordinates you can complete a hike in the surrounding area.
One of the geo cache hunts is a multi level cache. This hunt leads you to different GPS coordination on route to the hidden cache. The distance is 1.5 kilometer (about 1 mile).
There are also caches hidden outside our terrain. The GPS coordinates lead you strait to these caches.

In 2015 4 explorers (rover scouts?) from the Kizito group completed the St Joris hike, which was reinstated after 41 years.
De hut was built in 2009, and it was designed to be so sustainable as possible. To this end we do not use gas. Heat is supplied by a combination of solar heat collectors and a high efficiency wood burner. If you would like to know more about these techniques, we will be happy to show you around de hut.

The Kingdom of the earthworm is an outdoor game for 6-30 people with a minimum of 2 teams of 3-5 players. This game is all about nature. Each team has a team leader, there are 5 separate activities, each taking about 20 minutes to complete.
